Our Health Services team is now offering the Kizhaay Anishaabe Niin (I am a Kind Man) course, which is intended to revitalize men in their traditional and cultural duty as protectors of women and children and to live a Mino-Bimaadziwin (Good Life).

Our Health Services team understands the challenges of not always knowing what our children need from us, as parents. To help alleviate some of the frustration, the Health Services team is introducing Circle of Security, a 9-week program.

Welcome to IFNA

Independent First Nations Alliance

The Independent First Nations Alliance (IFNA) is a First Nations-led Tribal Council with the objective of providing customized support to the communities they serve. IFNA supports and works for the five communities of Whitesand First Nation, Lac Seul First Nation, Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug, Pikangikum First Nation and Muskrat Dam First Nation.

With an in-depth understanding and appreciation of how each community operates, and taking into consideration their First Nations perspectives, IFNA works tirelessly to provide unique advisory services, build resources and contribute to other types of support in order to help each community achieve excellence and self-reliance. IFNA prides itself on being an accessible, First Nations-oriented resource with the goal of working for, and with, the people and the communities they serve.

Offices of the Independent First Nation Alliance are currently in Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay.

IFNA provides financial services for its communities with a focus on the development of financial and operational strategies.

Integrated Emergency Services

In times of crisis, IFNA will activate an Integrated Emergency Servcies team to ensure the safety and health of all community members.
