Now offering: Circle of Security

Our Health Services team understands the challenges of not always knowing what our children need from us, as parents. To help alleviate some of the frustration, the Health Services team is introducing Circle of Security, a 9-week program. Circle of Security has 2 programs, one for parents and one for teachers or childcare workers. This program is designed to help parents make sense of what children need.

The program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened by:

  • Understanding your child’s world by learning to read the emotional needs
  • Learning about what might be getting in the way of seeing your child
  • Making sense of what your child is really asking
  • Supporting your child’s ability to manage hard emotions
  • Building your child’s self-esteem, and;
  • Honouring on your wisdom and desire for your child to feel secure
