Our Health Services team is now offering the Kizhaay Anishaabe Niin (I am a Kind Man) course, which is intended to revitalize men in their traditional and cultural duty as protectors of women and children and to live a Mino-Bimaadziwin (Good Life). This program is designed to reconnect and revitalize men’s responsibility to end violence toward Indigenous women.

The program’s goal is to increase resilience by empowering men to acknowledge and resolve trauma, improvement’s well-being and foster overall community wellness.

The program focuses on Indigenous culture and values to increase understanding of traditional roles and responsibilities based on Indigenous knowledge.

Participants can learn, share, and develop their own wellness 3 hours a week for 12 weeks. Each week there will be time to reflect and bring those reflections back to the group.

IFNA Communities can reach out to Derek Sanderson at IFNA to book a course.
